Don’t Write Vettel Off But Brits Dominate Oz Once Again

The Drivers Championship already appears to be a three horse race after just one race, with Sebastian Vettel having regained favouritism with William Hill after capturing second place in Australia. The two time champion is 15/8 to win for the third year in a row, while Jenson Button is just behind at 2/1 with Lewis Hamilton 3/1. Their next nearest competitor is then Fernando Alonso at 18/1.

"After qualifying, we pushed Vettel out and were perhaps a bit hasty to do so, but one thing is for sure, he is not going to have it easy this season," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.

Jenson Button won his third Australian Grand Prix in four years and Hills make him 7/2 to win the race in 2013. On top of Button's three wins, Hamilton has also recently won this race and it is Even money for a Brit to win next year's race. With uncertainty surrounding Lewis Hamilton's future after the end of this season, Hills make him 3/1 to win next season race with Paul Di Resta 40/1.

"The Brits seem to have this circuit nailed between them and they will certainly be among the favourites this time next year," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.

Hills are offering 66/1 that Button finishes on the podium for every race this season, with the same price offered for Lewis Hamilton to achieve the same feat. It is 50/1 for Button or Hamilton to win every race between them.
