Athletes To Follow In Boyle’s Very Large Footsteps
After the fantastic spectacle that was the Opening Ceremony, the Olympic Stadium is on lockdown for a week and William Hill have turned their focus to the athletes that will stride out once the doors reopen. Mo Farah and Jess Ennis are undoubtedly the big hopes for the track and field team with the British long distance runner 2/1 to win the 5000m and 11/8 to win the 10000m while the heptathlete is 8/11 to win her event.
William Hill are predicting an impressive haul for GB with 4/6 offered for over seven track and field medals to be won and 1/5 that at least one of them is gold.
"Danny Boyle opened the Olympic ceremony with a bang and once the dust has settled, we think our athletes could do exactly the same," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
