6 Nations: Perfect send off for O’Driscoll? … Celts back Irish to pip England
Ireland legend Brian O'Driscoll is 9/2 with William Hill to sign off his international career with a try this weekend - and help spark early St Patrick's Day celebrations.
The Irish are 5/6 favourites to win in Paris for the first time in 14 years and seal the Six Nations due to their overwhelming points difference of +81, compared to England's +32.
"The Celtic nations clearly believe it is Ireland's year - punters from Ireland, Wales and Scotland are all heavily backing them to pip England to the title," said William Hill's Jem Maidment. "This could be a glorious send off for O'Driscoll after a fantastic career. We make Ireland slight favourites to beat the French - and paint Paris green!"
We expect England - Evens to win the title - to rack up the tries in the Saturday lunchtime kick off in Italy and pile the pressure on the Irish, who play later.
They are 8/15 to score at least four - and 11/8 to bag five tries or more.
