Super Bowl XLVI: Will history repeat itself?

William Hill make New England their slight favourites to win this year's Super Bowl at 8/11, with the New York Giants 6/5. When the sides met in 2008, they were separated by just three points and Hills make New England three point favourites, despite them losing the match four years ago.

Victor Cruz is vital to the Giants' offence and William Hill are offering two Cruz specials. Hills go 3/1 for their ‘Cruz Control' special that he gets at least one reception in each quarter of the Super Bowl, while the ‘Cruz Beckum' special is 14/1 for both Cruz and Travis Beckum to score TDs.

Hills are also offering ‘historical markets' based on previous classic Super Bowl matches. When these two sides met in 2008, Wes Welker recorded 11 receptions and Hills offer 4/1 that any player manages to repeat that feat. When New England won the Super Bowl in 2004, they won due to a last seconds field goal from Adam Vinatieri and Hills offer 12/1 that the game ends on a successful last drive field goal.

"These sides are very closely matched and because of this, it may come down to a last minute field goal to split the sides with history potentially repeating itself," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
