Eli the man to lead New York to Giant win
Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning looks set to lead his New York Giants to a huge win against the Baltimore Ravens.
Manning had been living in the shadow of his brother, Peyton, for years but has suddenly become one othe NFL hottest properties following his awesome Super Bowl performance.
The Giants are now favourites to retain their title and with their offence firing on all cyclinders, complemented by the meteoric rise of defensive end Justin Tuck, they look unstoppable.
On Sunday, New York welcomes the streaking Baltimore Ravens and their rookie quarterback Joe Flacco.
Flacco raised a few eyebrows when he was selected as the 18th overall draft pick earlier in 2008 but since then has raised even more eyebrows with a string of impressive performances.
"It's just great to have a young quarterback who's so mature and doesn't act like he's a rookie" said nose tackle Haloti Ngati of Flacco. "He knows we have great confidence in him."
The Ravens are coming off a 41-13 victory over the Houston Texans and have defied the critics who gave them little chance before the season started.
Indeed, the Ravens have been so strong of late that they have seen their outright Super Bowl odds slashed from 80/1 down to 20/1 in the past month.
However, Flacco may be no average Joe but even he looks powerless to stop the Giants play-off push.
The Giants are 20/23 on the spread with a 7 point handicap which is great value. View all American Football betting.
