Marino record falls, but Rodgers still MVP fav

Despite breaking Dan Marino's record for number of passing yards in a season, Drew Brees remains the second favourite to win the regular season MVP this year.

He is 9/2 with William Hill behind runaway leader Aaron Rodgers at 1/7. Hills think the race for the MVP award is a straight head to head and have removed everybody else out of the market.

Their respective teams are 13/8 favourites (Green Bay) and 5/1 third favourites (New Orleans). Sandwiched in between the two NFC sides are the 4/1 New England Patriots.

"Drew Brees has done fantastically well this season but the feats that Aaron Rodgers and his side have achieved (barring a slight slip up against Atlanta) put him in the driving seat for the MVP award," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.

Super Bowl Outright: 13/8 Green Bay Packers; 4/1 New England Patriots; 5/1 New Orleans; 8/1 Baltimore Ravens; 14/1 Pittsburgh; 14/1 San Francisco 49ers; 33/1 Atlanta Falcons; 33/1 New York Giants; 33/1 Detroit Lions; 50/1 Dallas Cowboys; 50/1 Houston Texans; 66/1 Denver Broncos; 100/1 New York Jets; 100/1 Cincinnati Bengals; 100/1 Oakland Raiders; 200/1 Tennessee Titans

Regular Season MVP: 1/7 Aaron Rodgers; 9/2 Drew Brees
