NFL: Bears punters look set to maul bookies!

The Chicago Bears managed to squeeze past the Green Bay Packers to remain unbeaten at 3-0 for the NFL season.

Bookmakers William Hill are so worried by their current form that the Bears odds of winning Super Bowl XLV have been slashed from 33/1 to 20/1. The team that they defeated are priced as the 7/1 joint favourites along with Indianapolis to scoop the biggest prize in sport. The two other undefeated teams have also had their odds cut with Pittsburgh going from 25/1 to 12/1 and Kansas 100/1 to 40/1.

Hills are also offering odds on which of the three unbeaten teams will remain undefeated for the longest period of time. Pittsburgh are the 4/6 favourites, while Chicago are 5/4 and the Chiefs are 12/1.

For one of the currently unbeaten teams to go the whole season unbeaten and win the Super Bowl is priced at 200/1 with Hills.

"An unbeaten start to the season is usually a good indication as to who will be around post-season. Both of last year's Super Bowl finalists were unbeaten at this stage last year," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
