Presidential Pressure Will Force NFL To Cave In Ref Row

Presidential Pressure Will Force NFL To Cave In Ref Row

Barack Obama has waded into the row regarding the ‘stand-in' officials in the NFL and William Hill are now giving their two cents worth as well. Britain's biggest bookmaker is offering odds of 4/9 that professional officials return to the NFL by the time the Rams and Cardinals kick off the first match of gameweek five.

"There have already been a few officiating decisions that have been baffling, to say the least and it is obvious that the clamour for the pros to return will see Roger Goodell back down and give in to the demands of the referees," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
