Red Sox take it to decider

The Boston Red Sox managed to keep their hands firmly on the World Series trophy last night after pulling back level with the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Championship Series.

The New England based franchise had looked dead and buried after falling to a three games to one series deficit but have somehow managed to fight back and now move into the decider as favourites.

All of a sudden the Tampa Bay Rays look to be showing signs of nerves as they edge closer to their unbelieveable dream. In game five they squandered a seven run lead deep in the game as the Red Sox scrambled a 8-7 victory and last night, back at Tampa's Tropicana Field, Boston's two Jasons, Bay and Varitek, both homered in a 4-2 win. The Ray's post-season form had been impressive but now they will need to bounce back and expel any thoughts of a collapse. They are by no means a spent force but Boston are carrying all the momentum.

Will the Red Sox continue the charge? Or will Matt Garza put an end to the Red Sox reign as champions? Why not take a look at our full range of baseball betting?

The reward for one of these teams is a World Series match-up with National League champions, the Philadelphia Phillies, who eased past the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier in the week.
