Australia still favourites for the Ashes - 22/1 first ball is a wide
Australia are 4/5 favourites to win the Ashes on home soil with William Hill and England are offered at 7/4. Jimmy Anderson is the 2/1 favourite to take the first England wicket of the campaign and it is 22/1 that England's first ball is a wide following Steve Harmison's opener in the last series down under.
"Despite a terrible run we feel that Australia are going to be very hard to beat at home, especially if England start with a wide!" said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
