The 2014 World Cup qualification places have been decided, the first Ashes test is over and, as the festive season is upon us, it's time to look forward to plenty of sledging and a December full of top class betting opportunities.
First up, the second Ashes test - held at the Adelaide Oval in Australia - begins on 5th December. Will England, led by Alastair Cook, be able to wipe a 381 run defeat from their minds to level the series or can Australia take a 2-0 lead into the third test - due to begin on the 13th?
December also sees the World Women's Handball Championships take place in Serbia. Can Norway defend the title they won in 2011? Find our betting here.
Golf fans needn't feel left out as, starting on the seventh day of the month, they have the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge to look forward to - live from sunny California.
A massive month of racing commences with the amazing Sprinter Sacre, unbeaten over fences and the top rated horse in training, returning for the Tingle Creek at Sandown, quickly followed by Cheltenham's top quality International meeting.
Boxing Day sees the mid-season's pinnacle chase, as the National Hunt superstars gather for the Grade 1 William Hill King George VI , part of the two day William Hill Winter Festival.
The first of the big Nationals takes place on the 28th, as the stayers converge on Chepstow for the Welsh National, while Ireland's best will be battling it out between Christmas and the New Year as they prepare for 2014's big racing festivals. Click to view our full range of horse racing.
As well as the traditional Boxing Day and Christmas football fixture pileup that we all love, we also have the FIFA World Club Cup - beginning on the 11th and finishing on the 21st - to look forward to. Will Pep Guardiola's impressive Bayern Munich side add what would be their fourth trophy in 2013 or can Copa Libertadores winners Atletico Mineiro - with former Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldinho amongst their ranks - cause an upset and win the tenth edition of FIFA's top club tourney?
Of course, December also brings the pinnacle of darts - the PDC World Championship, held at London's Alexandra Palace. Will 16-time champion Phil Taylor make it 17 or can the prodigiously talented Michael van Gerwen - the 2012 runner up - win his maiden world title?
