India backed to beat Australia; England plumb for Prior

Some 75% of Hills customers think that the hosts India will beat Australia when they meet on Thursday in their World Cup quarter-final match up.

Hills offer Evens that there is century scored in the match and Sachin Tendulkar is 11/8 to score a fifty.

India are the 3/1 favourites to win the tournament with Australia offered at 5/1 and England 9/1.

The latest odds suggest that England will open with Matt Prior at 2/5 but Luke Wright has jumped to second favourite at 4/1 ahead of Ian Bell at 6/1.

"We were expecting punters to back Australia after they thrashed us in the One Day Series but Tendulkar and co have been very popular indeed," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
