Money For England To Beat South Africa

William Hill have been surprised by money for England to beat South Africa at 13/8, with South Africa offered at 1/2. Strauss is the only one they are backing to be top bat at 3/1 and it is a similar story in the bowling with Swann popular at 9/4. England are 2/9 to make it out of the Group stage but 11/10 to be knocked out at the Quarter Final Stage.

"We thought punters would be keen to oppose England but the 13/8 has proved too tempting for many of our customers. That said the odds suggest England will fall at the next hurdle," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
