Symonds to reel in the runs on his return
Andrew Symonds has been recalled to the Australian squad for the first Test match against New Zealand.
Symonds had previously been left out of squads for matches against Bangladesh and the tour of India after he chose to go on a fishing trip instead of attending a team meeting.
Australia have now turned to the laid back all-rounder to help turn around the side's fortunes after they recently lost the Test series in India.
The Queenslander can be backed at 7/1 to be the Australian top batsman and provided he gets the nod to start this is value.
The defeat in India was Australia's first Test series defeat since England's infamous 2005 Ashes Series win.
Questions have started to be asked about the Australian team and there lack of quality replacements for the likes of Adam Gilchrist, Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne.
However in sport there is no more dangerous an opponent than a wounded Aussie.
Therefore the Kiwis will certainly be up against it in the first Test which takes place in Brisbane.
The Aussies will be determined to put in a good performance after their defeat in India and remind the world why they are still the world's best side.
The home side are 4/11 to win the match with a shock New Zealand win priced at 8/1 and the draw at 3/1.
