British Sprint Stars Odds On For Velodrome Golds
Jason Kenny eased into the semi finals of the men's sprint and William Hill make him odds on (2/5) to win the title that Chris Hoy beat him to in Beijing.
The most likely final will be Kenny against France's Gregory Bauge who is 15/8 second favourite. The absence of Chris Hoy from this event is clearly evident, although the Scotsman is taking part in the Keirin on Tuesday, for which William Hill make him 4/7 to continue GB's fantastic golden run.
"The two British sprinters showed what they can do in the team sprint and we think the fantastic showing they showed last week will continue into this and there will be at least another couple of velodrome golds at the end of Tuesday," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
Men's Keirin: 4/7 Chris Hoy; 11/2 Maximillian Levy; 10/1 Shane Perkins; 11/1 Mackael Bourgain; 20/1 BAR
Men's Sprint: 2/5 Jason Kenny; 15/8 Gregory Bauge; 14/1 Shane Perkins; 66/1 Nijsane Philip
