Can Sunday's winner earn his rest?
In the first stage of the mountains in the Tour de France, Rui Costa won by 12 seconds and with a second mountainous stage on Sunday before Monday's rest day, William Hill are offering 7/1 that it is won by more than five seconds. Hills are offering 1/3 that the winner has the same time as second place and 4/1 that the gap is 1-5 seconds.
"Once the Tour reaches the mountains, anything can happen, although the odds suggest that the group will be pretty bunched tomorrow," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
Alberto Contador is the 19/20 favourite to win the Yellow Jersey ahead of 17/10 Andy Schleck. Mark Cavendish and Philippe Gilbert are both 6/4 favourites to win the Green Jersey after the latter claimed the jersey on Saturday following his coming second.
