Cav Odds On For Stage 7 Victory...But Who Will Come Second?
Edvald Boasson Hagen won his first ever stage in the Tour de France today but all eyes turn to tomorrow's stage for which Mark Cavendish is the hot favourite.
The Manx Missile is 4/6 to win tomorrow's stage and William Hill are offering a market on the best of the rest. In the betting without the favourite, Tyler Farrar is the 6/4 favourite with Andre Griepel at 5/1.
"Cavendish got his first ever stage win at Chateauroux and he is odds on to do so again," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly. "It will be a real fight for second, however."
Geraint Thomas came close to victory, finishing second in stage six and Hills think that that may have been his best chance to win a stage this year offering 1/25 that he does not win a stage this year, 9/1 that he does.
Alberto Contador is the Even money favourite to win the Yellow Jersey, while Andy Schleck is 13/8.
