Good Evans! Cadel 8/1 to double up
Cadel Evans finished second in the penultimate stage of the Tour de France and has thus won the Tour for the first time ever and William Hill offer 8/1 that he retains his title next season.
Hills are also offering a number of match bets for next year's Tour de France and believe that it will once again be close at the top.
Contador is 1/2 to finish ahead of Andy Schleck (6/4) while Cadel Evans is 4/7 to defeat Britain's Bradley Wiggins.
"Everybody thought that the Tour this year would be a repeat of last year's with Andy Schleck and Alberto Contador fighting it out and nobody factored in the Evans factor," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly. "The Australian was a massive 25/1 at the start of the Tour and is now 8/1 to follow up his maiden victory with a second."
Hills make Mark Cavendish the 1/2 favourite to take victory in the final stage in Paris.
