Wiggins and Cav 3/1 for Double Olympic Gold
There isn't much time for Mark Cavendish and Bradley Wiggins to rest from their Tour De France heroics as attention is firmly turned to the London Olympics. Wiggins is Evens with William Hill to score a victory in the men's individual time trial and Cavendish is the same price to win the road race. An historic double is a 3/1 shot.
"The Wiggins - Cavendish double looks the bet of the games and we expect our punters to be mad for it!" said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams
Velodrome hero Chris Hoy is another GB cyclist starting as favourite to win the gold medal in the men's Keirin at 8/11, whilst Jason Kenny is 8/1. Kenny is also competing in the Men's sprint and is 5/1 second favourite for gold behind Bauge of France at 4/9.Team GB are 10/11 for a gold medal in the men's pursuit and 9/2 in the men's team sprint behind Germany at 5/4 and France at 6/4.
