Tour de France: Stage Is Set For Thrilling Final Week
Thomas Voeckler managed to maintain his grip on the Yellow Jersey and William Hill now make him 9/1 to win the overall Tour. Andy Schleck remains the favourite at 17/10, followed by Cadel Evans at 21/10 and Alberto Contador at 4/1.
"The pre Tour favourites are struggling to make any inroads on Voeckler at the moment, but with a few mountains stages coming up after Monday's rest day, we expect to see Schleck, Contador and Evans vying for the top spot come Paris," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
With a sprint stage on Sunday before the rest day on Monday, Hill's expect Mark Cavendish to feature prominently. He is 1/3 to win the Green Jersey and 13/8 to finish higher than his big rival, Andre Griepel in Sunday's stage.
