Phil Taylor Still On Track To Become Premier League's Sixy Beast
Phil Taylor is 2/1 favourite with William Hill to win The Darts Premier League despite a humbling defeat against protégé Adrian Lewis who is the 7/2 third favourite. Gary Anderson is the 3/1 second favourite. Phil Taylor is 25/1 to finish bottom, the favourite for which is Raymond van Barneveld at 2/1.
"Despite looking out of sorts in Thursday's Premier League defeat, Phil Taylor still has the pulling power to keep the punters onside and the odds suggest that his 8-2 humbling was merely a blip in his march towards an unprecedented sixth title," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
The first night of the Premier League came very close to producing a nine dart finish but despite this, Hills are 4/6 that one is not achieved throughout the entirety of the tournament and 11/10 that at least one is. Gary Anderson was the 2/1 favourite before the start of the tournament to achieve the most 180s and his odds have been cut to 7/4 after he hit six in his victory over Simon Whitlock.
