One Dart – one bet. You’d be barmy not to take advantage of this acca
Two darting super-stars take to the stage tonight in the PDC World Darts Championship as Raymond van Barneveld and Peter Manley look to reach the next round. They're both in our special enhanced four-fold of 6/4.
First up to the oche though is world number seven Andy Hamilton against unknown Michael Barnard. The Hammer is a big favourite for this match, priced at 1/8, and rightly so. Born in the hot-bed of darting talent that is Stoke-on-Trent, Hamilton is often to be seen at the business end of TV tournaments, having made the quarter-finals or further in most of the majors. He should find 9/2 shot Barnard - who earned his place here through a PDPA qualifying event in Telford - no trouble, and is the first leg in our bet.
One of the most controversial games in recent memory follows, with Remco van Eijden (male) taking on Anastasia Dobromyslova (female) in the preliminary round. Yes, Anastasia's a woman - a girl, a 'bird' - and she's playing in the World Championship. Shock horror! We don't think she'll win though, and have priced her accordingly as the 2/1 outsider of the two. Remco, who was offered a wildcard by Dutch TV station SBS6 and is making his debut in this event, is a 4/11 chance, and is the second selection.
Following on from that match is Raymond van Barneveld's clash with Mark Stephenson. Five-time world champion and world number two Barney is strongly fancied to dispatch of his opponent tonight, and is the overwhelming favourite in the betting at 1/20. Stephenson has qualified for the event at the third time of asking, and now faces the biggest game of his career - but he certainly has his work cut out. His odds of 8/1 tell their own story, so it's the Dutchman who is the penultimate choice in the enhanced bundle.
Last on to the stage is the pantomime villain Peter Manley, who faces Mensur Suljovic. One Dart, and his pink shirts, is a bit of a showman and will try to get the (no doubt drunken) crowd on his side. He shouldn't need them though, as he's the 1/2 jolly. Mensur, nicknamed The Gentle, is 6/4 to knock out Manley. The Austrian has a job on his hands though, so Peter completes our accumulator.
So our favourites four-fold is complete, and the selections are Andy Hamilton, Remco van Eijden, Raymond van Barneveld and Peter Manley. With our Sunday evening dart bundle, you can get the special enhanced price of 6/4 on them all to make it to the next round.
