Premier League super-stars sent to Coventry
The Premier League Darts road-show continues on Thursday, with the eight star players heading to the Midlands. Coventry's Ricoh Arena will be rocking.
Last week, up in Edinburgh, saw two draws and two demolitions in the four matches - the same set of scores as week one. Unsurprisingly, Phil Taylor has handed out two of those demolitions; the other two came from debutant Mervyn King.
This week sees some intriguing battles - and to make your life a little easier, we've grouped the four favourites in the matches into one easy enhanced odds multiple at 4/1.
The Bull is rated a massive 8/1 outsider for this clash, and rightly so - he's not won yet. Having drawn two from two, another point doesn't seem likely, and the draw has been priced accordingly at 6/1. The Power has, well, powered past both his opponents so far in the league, without even playing to his usual brilliant best. As heavy odds-on favourite at 1/8, Phil Taylor is the first selection in the enhanced multiple.
This one could well be the match of the night. Both these players are yet to win in this season's event, so expect a classic. Five-time world champion Barney is fancied to win, with odds of 4/9. The Machine, who recently replaced the Dutchman as world number two, is priced at 7/2, but this really could go either way - making the draw look value at 9/2. But, as favourite, it's Raymond van Barneveld who goes into the bet.
The King has been an absolute revelation in the Premier League, beating both his opponents - including Wade last week - for the loss of just two legs. As you might expect, those results have made him a solid 4/7 jolly in the betting against three-time world champ Darth Maple. The Canadian, along with his scowl, is another yet to taste victory, and is priced at 11/4, although it would be somewhat of a shock if he were to taste it here. A 7-7 draw is a 4/1 shot, but on King's current form that doesn't look like it's going to happen either, so Mervyn King is the penultimate choice in our accumulator.
Last, but certainly not least, up to the oche are two more who are still winless. The Matador is experiencing the razzamatazz of the Premier League for the first time, while fans' favourite Hawaii 501 is in his fourth campaign. The young Dutchman is expected to win this week though, as a price of 5/6 would suggest, while it looks like the bad luck will continue for the orange-shirted showman - he's 7/4 to take the two points. The draw is 4/1, so it's Jelle Klaasen who completes the enhanced odds accumulator.
So, our favourites four-fold is complete, and the selections are Phil Taylor, Raymond van Barneveld, Mervyn King and Jelle Klaasen. With our enhanced odds multiple, you can get the special price of 4/1 on them all winning.
