6/1 British final - United favs to go furthest
Manchester United and Chelsea both avoided defeat in their opening fixtures of the Champions League and William Hill have trimed United's odds of winning the competition from 10/1 to 9/1, while Chelsea remain at 16/1.
Chelsea are 1/3 to qualify from Group E and 6/4 to do so unbeaten, while Manchester United are a staggering 1/100 to qualify and 5/6 to do it without losing.
"Despite City's defeat on Tuesday things have started well for all the British sides and that can only be good news for punters and bookmakers alike," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
With four of the five British sides currently unbeaten in the competition, it is 6/1 that two of Chelsea, United, City, Celtic and Arsenal contest the final. Manchester United are 13/8 favourites to progress furthest of any of the British sides in the competition, with Arsenal and Manchester City 5/2.
United are 1/10 to win their group, while Chelsea have been overtaken in favouritism to win their group by Juventus who are 5/6 with the Blues 7/4.
