West Ham United v Chelsea

 

  • West Ham have won just one of their last five Premier League home matches (W1 D3 L1).
  • Fernando Torres has scored six goals in six Premier League appearances against West Ham; more than against any other opponent in the competition.
  • James Collins has netted three goals against Chelsea, all headers.
  • The Hammers have scored just eight goals in their last 13 Premier League games against the Blues and never more than once in a game during this run.
  • Chelsea have won 10 and lost none of the last 12 Premier League meetings with West Ham.
  • Sam Allardyce won just two of 10 Premier League meetings as a coach against Rafa Benitez (W2 D2 L6).
  • Chelsea are unbeaten in their last six London derbies away from home in the Premier League (W2 D4).
  • Chelsea have drawn two successive Premier League games 0-0 for the first time since September 2004.
  • West Ham are the only team in the Premier League yet to concede a headed goal this season.

Arsenal v Swansea City

 

  • Arsenal and Swansea have met six times in the league, with both sides winning three times each.

  • Swansea have won just two of their last 10 Premier League away games (W2 D2 L6).
  • Arsenal have conceded a league-high proportion of 71% of their goals in the first half of games this season.
  • The Gunners are the only team yet to concede a goal in the final 15 minutes of a Premier League game this season.
  • Theo Walcott has scored nine goals in his last 11 matches in all competitions for Arsenal.
  • Michu has scored a league high four headed goals from just six headers on target this season.
  • Only Gerhard Tremmel (85%) has a better saves to shots ratio this season than Wojciech Szczesny (81%) in the Premier League.
  • This is Arsenal's worst start to a Premier League season under Arsene Wenger (21 points after 14 matches) and only in 1994-95 (19 points) have they had fewer points in the Premier League era.

Fulham v Tottenham Hotspur

 

  • Fulham have won none of their last seven Premier League matches against Tottenham, losing the last five in a row (W0 D2 L5).
  • Fulham have scored only two goals in the last seven Premier League meetings with Spurs and one of those was an own goal by Younes Kaboul.
  • Former Fulham forward Clint Dempsey will come up against his former club, after scoring 50 goals in 184 Premier League appearances for the west Londoners.
  • Former Tottenham boss Martin Jol goes up against his old club. He enjoyed a win percentage of 42% while at Spurs. He won this fixture as a coach in his first two attempts with Spurs, but has since drawn three and lost one as Spurs manager and lost two in charge of Fulham.
  • Fulham have won 10 and lost just three of their 16 Premier League games at Craven Cottage in 2012, but have won just one of the last four (W1 D1 L2).
  • Tottenham have taken the lead in their last two Premier League away games and gone on to lose.
  • Tottenham have conceded a joint-divisional high 78% of their goals in the second half of games this season (alongside Reading).
  • Spurs are the only team yet to concede a goal in the opening 15 minutes of a Premier League game this season.
  • Fulham have hit the target with a higher percentage of shots than any other team in the Premier League (56%).

Liverpool v Southampton

 

  • Southampton won three of the last four Premier League meetings with Liverpool but they haven't met since January 2005.
  • Southampton have kept only one clean sheet in 14 Premier League games this season, the joint-fewest in the top flight.
  • Southampton have dropped more points from winning positions than any other team in the Premier League (15).
  • Liverpool have the worst shooting accuracy in the Premier League this season (37%).
  • Luis Suarez is not only the league's top scorer with 10 goals, but he has created the most scoring chances for team-mates from open play (34).
  • 16 is Liverpool's worst points haul after 14 games of a Premier League season since 1992-93 when they also won 16 at this stage.
  • If you apply the three points for a win to old English First Division seasons, Liverpool haven't been worse off at this stage since 1964-65 when they had a record of W4 D3 L7.
  • Liverpool have posted the lowest open play crossing success rate in the Premier League this season, finding a team-mate with just 14% of their centres.
  • Liverpool have benefitted from the most own goals this season (3) while Southampton have scored the joint-most own goals (3).

Manchester City v Everton

 

  • Everton have won eight and lost just two of their last 10 Premier League games against Manchester City.
  • Everton have won just three of their last 17 Premier League away games (W3 D10 L4).
  • Everton were the last team to beat Manchester City in a Premier League game at the Etihad (Dec 2010). Since then the Citizens have won 33 and drawn three of their 36 home matches.
  • Marouane Fellaini has been involved in eight goals (five goals, three assists) in his last eight Premier League appearances.
  • Everton have scored a league high proportion of 67% of their goals in the first half of games this season.
  • Manchester City have scored a league-high 74% of their goals in the second half of games.
  • Everton have fired in more shots on target than any other team in the Premier League (92), Man City have had the second most (91).
  • City have allowed their opponents just 34 shots on target against them, fewer than any other team.
  • Everton have conceded more goals in the opening 15 minutes of games than any other team in the Premier League (6).

Queens Park Rangers v Aston Villa

 

  • There has been an own goal in each of the last three Premier League meetings between QPR and Aston Villa. This fixture has the highest rate of own goals of any fixture in Premier League history where there have been 10 or more meetings (one every 2.5 games on average).
  • QPR have scored just six goals in their last eight Premier League games at Loftus Road and won none of the last six (W0 D3 L3).
  • Aston Villa have won just one of their last 15 Premier League away games (W1 D5 L9).
  • Only Swindon in 1993-94 (5 points, GD -22) have managed a worse record after 14 games in the Premier League than QPR this season.
  • Aston Villa (13 points) have posted their second worst start to a Premier League season after 14 games, after having just 10 points in 1994-95 at this stage.
  • Villa haven't kept three clean sheets in a row since they did so in February 2010.

  • West Brom have won just one point from a losing position in the Premier League this season; a joint league low.
  • Cameron Jerome and Charlie Adam have both scored in two of their three Premier League appearances against West Brom.
  • West Brom have kept only one clean sheet in their last nine Premier League games.
  • The Baggies have scored eight headed goals from just 11 headers on target this season.
  • Stoke City have committed 195 fouls this season, more than any other team in the top division.
  • This is West Brom's best start to a Premier League season by 10 points from their previous best of 16 in 2010-11.

  • United's last four league away defeats have been by a 0-1 scoreline.
  • Reading have kept the joint-fewest clean sheets in this season's Premier League.
  • Manchester United have recovered more points from losing positions than any other team in this season's Premier League (18).
  • The Red Devils have scored more headed goals than any other team in the top flight (10).
  • Reading have conceded a joint-divisional high 78% of their goals in the second half of games this season.
  • Man Utd have the best chance conversion rate in the top flight, scoring with 19% of their shots at goal.
  • Wayne Rooney has a joint-league high six goal assists this season, along with Chelsea's Juan Mata.
  • Reading have allowed their opponents more shots against them than any other team in the top flight (186) despite having played one game less than most teams.

  • The Canaries have picked up fewer cards than any other team in the Premier League this season (12 yellows, no reds).
  • Craig Gardner has been booked in all Sunderland's even-numbered Premier League matches this season (2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th &12th). This is the Black Cats' 14th game.
  • Norwich are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League games, winning three and drawing four.

 

 

 

Newcastle United v Wigan Athletic

 

  • Newcastle have lost their last two league games at St James' Park. They have not lost three in a row since April 2009.
  • Newcastle have won four and lost none of the six Premier League matches with Wigan at St James Park.
  • Wigan have drawn three of their seven visits to St James Park in all competitions, with the scoreline being 2-2 on each occasion.
  • Newcastle have lost four Premier League games in a row for the first time since September 2008.
  • The Magpies have the same number of points after 14 games as they did in 2008-09 when they ended the season being relegated.
  • Since Papiss Demba Cisse joined, Newcastle have played 29 Premier League games with Cisse scoring 15 goals and Demba Ba nine, but they have only netted in the same game twice.
  • Since August 2010, Cheik Tiote has been shown more cards than any other player in the Premier League (28 yellows and one red).
  • Wigan have conceded the joint-most headed goals in the Premier League (7).
  • Mohamed Diame has made the joint-most tackles in the Premier League this season (57 along with Schneiderlin of Southampton).
