A Spurs win will propel them Inter the big time

When Peter Crouch scored the winner for Spurs at Manchester City back in May to secure a Champions League place it would have been games like Inter Milan at home that the fans would have been dreaming of on their celebratory journey back to London from Manchester that night.

They host Inter Milan in this one. It presents their first home tie against a genuine European giant since reaching the Champions League for the first time and I think the White Hart Lane crowd could well be cheering a victory. If you fancy Spurs to win it's 13/8, the draw is 21/10 and an Inter win is 7/4.

Spurs received a double boost on Monday with the news that both Rafael van der Vaart and Tom Huddlestone are expected to be fit.  Rafael van der Vaart was suspended when Spurs were defeated 4-3 in the San Siro and they certainly missed him that night. He is a classy player and if he is on top form here then White Hart Lane will be rocking.

The Dutchman is 11/2 to score the first goal and a tempting 7/1 to score twice.

Spurs fell 4-0 behind in the reverse fixture at the San Siro before an incredible Gareth Bale hat-trick reduced the deficit to 4-3. You got the impression that if the game had lasted another five minutes Bale would have netted again such was his domination of the left flank in the later stages of the match.  If you fancy him to score another hat-trick you can get a whopping 200/1.

Our 'Match Winner' special for this one represents great value. If Bale scores at anytime during the match and Spurs win the game you can get an enhanced price of 8/1.

Inter come into this on the back of a 1-0 away win at Genoa on Friday night and haven't lost since September.  The players seem to have adapted well to Rafa Benitez's style following the departure of Mourinho and they are improving by the week.

A draw would probably suit the Italians as they sit on seven points from three games, four points clear of the rest of Group A. Don't be surprised if Benitez's men 'park the bus'. With that in mind a small bet on 0-0 could be worthwhile at odds of 11/1.

If Inter come to play and attack Spurs it could be a different story. They have been amongst the goals in this competition with ten goals in three games.  If you fancy Inter to get four or more goals at White Hart Lane we're offering that one at 16/1.

Samuel Eto'o is always a danger as he proved in the first game and he will be the most likely to score for Inter, the 11/2 for him to score first is generous.

On paper it looks like an Inter win is most likely but I think a Spurs team buoyed on by the home crowd and the return of Rafael van der Vaart will be difficult to contain and I anticipate a night to remember at White Hart Lane.

My selection would be Spurs to win at 13/8. I also believe our 'Match Winner' offer is too good to miss and the long shot bet would be a correct score of 3-2 at 28/1.

You can bet in-play from 19:45 on Tuesday, the game is live on Sky Sports 2.
