All Chelsea Eyes Turn To Being Best Of The Rest
Andre Villas Boas insinuated that anything less than a win would see Chelsea out of the running for the title and William Hill seem to agree offering 16/1 that Chelsea win the title - behind Manchester City (8/13) and Manchester United (2/1). Villas-Boas is odds-on, however, at 1/3, to still be in charge of Chelsea for the first game of next season (9/4 not to be). Chelsea are in pole position to finish top of the sides excluding both Manchesters City and United at 11/8, just ahead of Tottenham at 13/8.
"If his post match talk were to be believed, Villas-Boas has already conceded defeat in his hunt for a Premier League title, but they still have a lot to play for and are in pole position to be the best of the rest," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
Fernando Torres started the game once again on the bench and William Hill offer 11/2 that he leaves the club in January and 9/4 that he leaves in the summer. While Torres looked on, both Adebayor and Sturridge continued their rich vein of scoring form and they are 16/1 and 18/1 respectively to win the golden boot this year.
