Hannover 96 - 1.FSV Mainz 05

  • Mainz have never won a Bundesliga match at Hannover (D4 L3).

VfL Wolfsburg - Hertha BSC

  • Wolfsburg have won only one of their last seven home duels with Hertha BSC (D3 L3). Their last home victory came in 2008/09 (2-1) when they won the Championship.
  • Berlin have won their last two away games against Wolfsburg (5-1 in 2009/10 and 3-2 in 2011/12).
  • Hertha BSC have gained seven points from their first three matches. Their previous record was six points from their opening three in 2000/01; they ended up finishing 5th in the league table that season.
  • Wolfsburg haven't lost any of their last six home games (W2 D4). Their last such run came between November 2011 and February 2012 (also six unbeaten home games).
  • Berlin have lost only one of their last 17 league games (one in the Bundesliga and 16 in the second division); winning 10 and drawing six.
  • Wolfsburg have won only one of their last six matches (L2 D3 and a 4-0 victory against Schalke on matchday 2 in 2013/14).

Schalke 04 - Bayer 04 Leverkusen

  • Schalke vs. Leverkusen will take place on the top game spot for the fourth consecutive time (i.e. the Bundesliga game on Saturday evening).
  • Schalke have won only two (of 15) Bundesliga home games against Leverkusen in 15 years (D7 L6 and victories in 2005/06 and 2011/12).
  • Leverkusen have currently won eight consecutive Bundesliga games for the first time in their club history. Their last failed to win on April 13th in a 2-2 at Schalke.
  • Leverkusen have kept a clean sheet (and won) in each of their last three away matches. Their club record is four consecutive away victories without conceding a goal (September/October 1989).
  • Leverkusen have failed to win any of their last six Saturday evening games (so called top game) in the Bundesliga (D3 L3). Their last victory in such a game came in October 2010 at Schalke (1-0).
  • Only in 2003/04 have Leverkusen also win their opening three Bundesliga matches; they have never won their opening four.
  • Schalke and Hamburg have both conceded a league-high nine goals as well as the worst goal difference in the top flight (-5 each).
  • Only in 1987/88 have Schalke conceded more goals in their opening three matches (11); they were relegated at the end of that season.
  • Schalke have conceded a league-high six goals from set-pieces (four from corners, also league high). They have also conceded the most corners (25) and won as few as only Braunschweig (7).
  • Stefan Kießling (2 goals, 3 assists) and Sidney Sam (3 goals, 2 assists) lead the league in goal involvements (together with Hoffenheim's Roberto Firmino).
  • Schalke's assistant coach Peter Hermann made 215 appearances in league games for Bayer Leverkusen (32 goals). He also was assistant coach at Leverkusen between 1989 and 2008 and from 2009 to 2011 and he was caretaker head coach for two games.

Borussia Monchengladbach - SV Werder Bremen

  • Bremen conceded 66 goals in 2012/13; only Hoffenheim shipped more (67).
  • Monchengladbach were the only side in 2012/13 who failed to score more than one goal in their two matches against Bremen (0-4 away; 1-1 home).
  • Against no other side have Monchengladbach won as many home games in the Bundesliga as against Bremen (25).
  • Bremen's only away victory over Monchengladbach in nine years came on October 23rd 2010 (4-1).
  • No side has conceded fewer goals than Bremen in 2013/14 (1, equalled by Bayern and Dortmund). They had conceded goals in 14 consecutive BL games before Robin Dutt took over as coach (MD1).
  • Bremen are the only side who haven't had a big chance in 2013/14. They have had 24 shots, a league-low.
  • Monchengladbach show the highest passing accuracy in the top flight (86%) after Bayern Munich (91%), Bremen show the lowest passing accuracy (72%, like Braunschweig).
  • This game will be Robin Dutt's 100th Bundesliga game as a manager. He has averaged 1.26 points per game in his 99 matches as coach of Freiburg, Leverkusen and Bremen.
  • Max Kruse and Cedric Makiadi were on the same side in 2012/13; they sensationally finished 5th in the table with SC Freiburg and qualified for the Europa League.
  • Thomas Eichin made 180 Bundesliga appearances for Monchengladbach between 1985 and 1999, but he failed to score a goal. No other player (not regarding goalkeepers) had as many Bundesliga games for Monchengladbach (180) without scoring a goal (Monchengladbach's current director of sports Max Eberl is second in this list; 137 games without scoring a goal).
  • Patrick Herrmann is in line for his 100th Bundesliga game; he scored 16 goals and served another 16 in his 99 matches so far.

VfB Stuttgart - 1899 Hoffenheim

  • Stuttgart have lost only one of their 10 Bundesliga games against Hoffenheim (W5 D4 and a 0-3 loss at home in 2012/13).
  • Stuttgart have failed to collect any points in their opening three games (like only in 2010/11). 0 points from their opening four games would set a new club record.
  • Stuttgart have failed to keep a clean sheet in 15 of their last 16 home games.
  • Hoffenheim have not lost any of their last seven competitive games (W5 D2). Their last loss came on matchday 33 in 2012/13 (1-4 against Hamburg).
  • An average of 4.4 goals has been scored in Hoffenheim's last nine Bundesliga games (Hoffenheim have always conceded in these nine matches).
  • Hoffenheim's last clean sheet came in Markus Gisdols first game as their coach (3-0 against Dusseldorf; MD28 in 2012/13).
  • Bruno Labbadia was sacked as Stuttgart's coach on Monday; the first dismissal of the Bundesliga this season. He is being replaced by Thomas Schneider.
  • Schneider made 133 Bundesliga appearances for Stuttgart. He won the Bundesliga in 1992 and the German Cup in 1997 with them. He has been coaching Stuttgart's Under-17-side; winning the Championship with them in 2012/13.
  • Thomas Schneider and Markus Gisdol were in the same class in the German Football Association's educational training to get their A-level coaching licence in 2011. Schneider passed as the second-best of the class.
  • Vedad Ibisevic played for Hoffenheim from 2007 until 2012 before he moved to Stuttgart. He is still Hoffenheim's most successful goal scorer in their Bundesliga history (43 goals).
  • Sejad Salihovic will miss the game as he was one of eight players to be sent off on matchday three with a red card. Never before in Bundesliga history have eight players been sent off on a single matchday. It's Salihovic' fourth red card in his Bundesliga career (only four current Bundesliga players have been sent off more often).
  • Hoffenheim's Delpierre, Weis, Beck, Rudy, Jaissle, Vukcevic, Stolz and Schipplock are former Stuttgart players.

Eintracht Frankfurt - Borussia Dortmund

  • Frankfurt have won only two of their last 13 Bundesliga duels against Dortmund (D6 L5). They have however, lost only one of their last BL home games against Dortmund (D4 W2).
  • Against no side have Dortmund won as many Bundesliga games as against Frankfurt (37 in 80 games; plus D16 L27).
  • Never before have Dortmund won their opening five competitive matches of a season. Only Leverkusen and Mainz have also won each of their competitive matches this season (only four games; Dortmund have played five because of the Supercup against Bayern Munich).
  • Dortmund have won their opening three Bundesliga games; seen only in 1994/95 and 2001/02 (they went on to become Bundesliga Champions in both cases).
  • Frankfurt have won a league-high 54.4% of their duels.
  • Only Dortmund have scored as many as three goals in the final 15 minutes of their games this season.
  • Dortmund have faced as few as eight shots on their goal, fewer than any other side.
  • Vaclav Kadlec made his Bundesliga debut last week against Braunschweig. He was in the starting line-up and made an assist.
  • Marco Reus got his first Bundesliga hat trick for Dortmund in their last duel against Frankfurt (his first Bundesliga hat trick came for Monchengladbach against Bremen, in November 2011).
  • Armin Veh has won only one of his 14 competitive matches as a coach against Dortmund (L11 D2).
  • Jürgen Klopp played for Eintracht Frankfurt's second team in 1987/88 and for Rot-Weiss Frankfurt in 1989/90. He also graduated in sports science in Frankfurt.

1. FC Nurnberg - FC Augsburg

  • Augsburg are still waiting for their first Bundesliga victory over Nurnberg (D2 L2).
  • Nurnberg have kept a clean sheet in three of their four Bundesliga duels against Augsburg.
  • Augsburg's only Bundesliga goal against Nurnberg came in their last meeting, it was scored by Nurnberg keeper Raphael Schäfer (own goal).
  • Never before in Bundesliga history have Augsburg been placed higher in the league table than Nurnberg.
  • Nurnberg have not lost any of their last 14 competitive matches against Augsburg (W9 D5). Their last defeat came 37 years ago.
  • Augsburg won their first match this season against Stuttgart last week. They previously had to wait for their first victory of a season at least until matchday 7 (in the Bundesliga).
  • Augsburg have currently won as many games (one) as they did in the entire first half of 2012/13.
  • Augsburg have lost their last five away matches and failed to score in the last four of these. Their last away point(s) came on March 16th in a 1-0 victory over Hamburg.
  • Nurnberg are still waiting for their first victory in a competitive match this season (D3 L1).
  • Nurnberg had a ball possession share of only 19% last week against Bayern. That's the lowest rate of any side in Bundesliga history (since the start of detailed Opta records in 2004/05).
  • Augsburg have scored four competitive goals this season; two by newly signed Halil Altintop (striker) and two by Jan Ingwer Callsen Bracker (defender).
  • Andreas Ottl (second half of 2009/10) and Dominik Reinhardt (1999-2009) have a history with Nurnberg.
