Burnley set to meet their maker at Stamford Bridge
The majority of people thought Burnley were going to be sat on zero points after three games but after stunning both Manchester United and Everton they will look to do it again at odds of 20/1 away to Chelsea.
Two 1-0 victories out of three games against two of the heavyweights of the Premier League is quite an achievement and you can be sure fans and optimists alike will be taking the 28/1 on offer about another 1-0 win to the away side.
Both Burnley's victories have been at Turf Moor and it is a different, daunting prospect coming to Stamford Bridge taking on an unbeaten Chelsea side who are ravenous for success.
Match odds of 1/7 are predictably short and they may have more hope of snatching a draw at 6/1. Burnley will be buoyed by the fact they held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge just last season in the Carling Cup and the same outcome is available at 12/1.
In reality though, people are expecting a facile victory for the Blues and Carlo Ancelotti will not accept anything less. Didier Drogba is in rude health and may well be too much for the Clarets' defence and looks a fair price at 3/1 to score first with strike partner Nicolas Anelka 4/1 to bag the first goal.
Punters may be interested to know about one of William Hill's new markets which is first goal scorers coupled where for example you can have either Drogba or Anelka to score at odds of 5/4.
One thing Burnley do have is spirit, and they will fight right up until the final whistle as they have shown nearly every time they set foot on the pitch.
The likes of Martin Paterson, Robbie Blake and Wade Elliott will run themselves ragged chasing the ball and trying to make things happen and all of these are possible threats to the Chelsea goal at 11/2, 6/1 and 8/1 respectively to score anytime with Paterson a big price at 14/1 to stun the Blues with the first goal.
As Hull found out, Chelsea have a habit of scoring late on but a bright start from the Clarets could see them make the home side work for their victory and a wager on either draw/Chelsea at 3/1 or even Burnley/Chelsea at 16/1 could be worth a bet.
It would be truly wonderful to see Burnley record another win against one of the leading title contenders but it just looks too good to be true.
Those loyalists wanting to get with Burnley are certainly getting the right price to do so at a colossal 20/1 but 3-1 to Chelsea at 9/1 looks more like it.
While the Clarets may get dispatched away from home, if they can keep their excellent home form going then many more than United, Everton and indeed Tottenham last season will find out just how determined Burnley are to retain their Premier League status.
Didier Drogba to score first - 3/1
Chelsea to win 3-1 - 9/1
