Cahill And Lescott To Fill JT’s Big Boots

Roy Hodgson has revealed his England squad and following the recent retirement of John Terry, William Hill are betting on who will stand side by side in the heart of England's defence against San Marino. Gary Cahill and Joleon Lescott look likely to start the match against San Marino with odds of 2/5 and 1/3 respectively. At 5/6, Phil Jagielka is third favourite with Ryan Shawcross 9/2.

At the other end of the pitch, Wayne Rooney returns to the squad and is 1/16 to start the match against San Marino, while Jermain Defoe who has been in red hot form this season is 8/11 to do so.

"The team could be quite different to the one that lined up against Ukraine although we think that Roy Hodgson will stick to a relatively familiar starting XI," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

England will be expected to significantly boost their goal difference against San Marino and William Hill offer 7/4 that nine or more goals are scored by the Three Lions a week Friday. It is 15/8 that 11 or more goals are scored by England over the two games (San Marino and Poland). San Marino will be hoping to test England's new defence and they are 9/2 to get a goal when they visit Wembley.

Tom Cleverly will be hoping to shake the monkey off his back after squandering a number of chances against Ukraine and he is 2/1 to score against either San Marino or Poland.
