Can ‘Arry Carry Rangers To Safety?

Mark Hughes has been dismissed as QPR boss with Harry Redknapp in talks about taking over at Loftus Road. With Redknapp unlikely to be in the dugout for Saturday's match against Manchester United, William Hill make the following game at Sunderland the 11/10 favourite to be the first time the former Tottenham boss tastes defeat with the Hoops. It is 4/1 that his first home game with Aston Vila is his first loss with Wigan away the same price.

With Redknapp now in charge William Hill are offering 9/4 that the Hoops finish between 10th and 16th in the Premier League this season. He is 5/2 to be in 20th place, 5/1 for 19th, 18th or 17th. Rangers are 11/10 to survive this term but odds on to go down at 4/6.

"Redknapp will fancy his chances of turning QPR around but on recent form he has a hell of a job on his hands," said William Hill spokesman Mark Young.

Harry Redknapp's first loss as QPR manager*: 11/10 Sunderland (A), 4/1 Aston Villa (H), 4/1 Wigan (A), 9/1 Fulham (H), Not lose any of these
*Bet only valid if Redknapp takes over as boss AND Saturday's game vs Manchester United does not count
