Canaries crush Wolves

The Championship mid-week action saw Glenn Roeder's Norwich thrash Wolves 5-2 at Carrow Road. In six previous matches at home the Canaries had only managed to score four goals but they managed to better that in just one match against Wolves. On-loan Leroy Lita was the star of the show scoring a hat-trick. Wolves' loss was enough to see them lose top spot to Birmingham as the pair continue to interchange between first and second.

In the betting Birmingham strengthend their position as title favourites shortening from 11/4 to 9/4 whilst Wolves were were lengthened from 10/3 to 9/2. Lita's parent club and second favourites Reading continued their 100% home record with a 2-1 victory over Doncaster with the Championship's top scorer Kevin Doyle yet again on target and in the betting the Royals were cut from 3/1 to 5/2.

Bristol City moved up to fourth in the table following their 2-0 success away at Charlton the Robins are now available at 20/1 from 33/1. Cardiff (28/1) were the team displaced by City after they could only manage a 2-2 draw away at Watford, but this was after being 2-0 behind. Burnley now fill the last last play-off spot after convincingly beating Chris Coleman's Coventry side 3-1. As a result the Clarets have been cut from 50/1  to 40/1.
