Capital One Cup Final: 10,000/1 Most Unlikely Final In History Of Football?
Bradford City head into their Capital One Cup Final match against Swansea as massive underdogs according to bookmakers, William Hill. The Bantams are 8/1 to win their match on Sunday in 90 minutes and 4/1 to lift the trophy outright. The Swans on the other hand are 2/5 to win in regulation time and 1/7 to lift the trophy.
Should they upset the odds, Bradford will have the prospect of European football to look forward to and are 10,000/1 to win the Europa League and 12/1 to even win a game. Swansea are 1000/1 to win on Sunday and go on to win the 2013/14 Europa League.
"This season has been one of the best in recent memory for the League Cup and while we could have a final to match it looks as though the ultimate underdogs will fall at the final hurdle," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
Both sides have had talismen guiding them through the competition and Britain's biggest bookmaker is offering 6/4 that Michu scores in the match and Swansea win, while it is 20/1 that Nahki Wells scores in a Bradford City victory.
