Celtic 8/15 favourites to lift the Scottish Cup; Hibs to end their 111 year wait?
Record winners Celtic are the 8/15 favourites to win the 2012/13 William Hill Scottish Cup after the completion of this weekend's quarter-final matches.
Ledley and Stokes got the goals for the ‘Bhoys' as they edged passed St. Mirren to earn a place in tomorrow's semi-final draw.
Dundee United, 2-1 winners over their city rivals Dundee on Sunday, can be backed at 3/1 with the sponsors, while Hibs, last year's beaten finalists, are 4/1 to win the Cup for the first time since 1902.
Falkirk, the only First Division side left in the competition, are the 20/1 outsiders to lift the coveted trophy.
‘Celtic are the obvious favourites to lift this year's William Hill Scottish Cup,' said William Hill spokesman Tony Kenny, ‘but it's the Cup - so you can't rule out any of the sides left in the competition.'
‘Who knows it could be the year that Hibs finally get the monkey off their back.'
William Hill Scottish Cup (Sponsors Bet): 8/15 Celtic, 3/1 Dundee United, 4/1 Hibernian, 20/1 Falkirk - Win Only
TOMORROW'S CUP DRAW
Former Scotland international and Celtic assistant manager John Robertson will help make the draw for the William Hill Scottish Cup semi-finals at Hampden Park on Monday.
The draw will take place at 1.30pm and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports News.
Robertson earned 28 Scotland caps as a player and was assistant to Martin O'Neill during his time as manager of Celtic, helping them to three Scottish Cups - in 2001, 2004 and 2005.
He will be joined by Scottish FA President Campbell Ogilvie and Lucy Carter, Head of Brand at William Hill, in conducting the draw.
