Champions League Final Preview

The Champions League title is the holy grail for Abramovich, Chelsea went very close in Moscow but they have failed to deliver the one trophy that the Russian craves.

They need to win in Munich, they have the added incentive that if they beat Bayern, Spurs will go without Champions League football next season.

If Chelsea fail in Germany, that will be it for many of their star players. For the likes of Malouda, Drogba, Lampard and Terry, this is last chance saloon. If Chelsea win, a few will leave the club on a high!

Chelsea may be missing Ramires, Meireles, Ivanovic and Terry but they look a massive price to win over ninety minutes. They are 7/2, the draw is 5/2 and the Bayern win looks short at 4/5. Chelsea are 15/8 to lift the trophy at the Allianz Arena and there is little pressure on the English side.

If you fancy backing Chelsea, the best bet could be double chance, you can get the Blues or the draw at 31/32, Chelsea draw no bet is 21/10.

Bayern have failed domestically this season, they are clearly second best to Dortmund and they were spanked in the Cup Final against that side 5-2 at the weekend. The pressure is on the German club, they have to play at their own ground and like Di Matteo, Heynckes will have to make changes.

The two clubs met in the 2004-05 quarter-finals, with Chelsea winning 6-5 on aggregate. Five of the six goals were scored by players at the club. They hit plenty of long balls to Drogba and his knock-downs hampered Bayern.

One of the Match Winners is for Drogba to score anytime and Chelsea to win in ninety minutes, it has been enhanced from 11/2 to 7/1! He could terrorise the Germans, they will be playing the Ukrainian midfielder Tymoshchuk at the heart of defence and the Drog could tear him apart.

There is also a Match Winner concerning the German side, it is Robben to score anytime and Bayern to win in ninety minutes at 2/1, it has been enhanced from 9/5. He played 106 times for Chelsea between 2004 and 2007 and the Blues fans know how dangerous he is on the flanks. Chelsea will try and cut the supply to Robben and Ribery on the wings.

There were plenty of goals in the German Cup Final and both clubs are missing first team defenders. Both teams to score is 10/11 and over 2.5 goals is even money. The danger man for Bayern is Gomez, he is not an elegant player but he has no trouble finding the back of the net. He is 9/2 to open the scoring and 10/11 to score anytime.

Without Ramires, Chelsea should start Torres just behind the striker. He scored a great goal against Barcelona and he is starting to look the player of old, he is 9/1 to open the scoring and 10/3 anytime scorer.
