Group E

Roma v Bayern Munich

  • Roma have lost all three games against Bayern in European competition, with the Germans scoring exactly two goals in each match.
  • Roma have won three and lost none of their last four home matches against German opposition in Europe.
  • Bayern have only lost one of their last five European games away from home in Italy, though this was at Fiorentina in March.
  • Bayern have already qualified for the Last 16 and will win the group unless they lose this match by a two goal or more margin.
  • A win for Roma and a draw in the other match would see the Italian side progress to the next stage, but a win for either Basel or Cluj would see qualification go to the final match day.
  • Mario Gómez has scored four goals from just five shots on target in the Champions League this season.

  • Spartak have only won three of their last 27 Champions League matches.
  • Spartak's win at Marseille ended a run of 10 Champions League matches without a win against French sides for the Russian team.

  • Only one team has ever kept five clean sheets from the start of a Group Stage (Juventus 2004-05), a feat United can match with a shut out in this game.
  • Rangers have only used four of a potential 12 substitutes in the Champions League, half as many as any other team.
  • There have only been four goals scored in the three Champions league ties Man Utd have played in Scotland.
  • The English giants have only lost one of their seven Champions League games against Scottish opposition.
  • United have won eight of their last nine Champions League away matches.

Valencia v Bursaspor

  • If Rangers do not win against Man Utd, then a victory for Valencia will see the Spanish side through to the Last 16.
  • If Rangers lose, then a draw will be enough to take Valencia through to the next round.
  • Valencia scored their four goals from just five shots on target when they won 4-0 away at Bursaspor on Match Day 1.
  • Valencia have only been caught offside just three times in the Champions League this season, fewer than any other side.
