City odds-on for 2nd, United enter race for Ronaldo
Manchester City may be 14/1 to win the Premier League this season, but William Hill think that they have second place pretty much sewn up. They are 1/4 to finish second 9/2 to finish third and 8/1 to finish fourth.
Given the somewhat anticlimactic second season following their title win, Mancini is 5/6 to not be Manchester City manager come the first day of next season.
"After last season, big things were expected of City and they have grossly underperformed. Closing the gap to United plus a run in the FA Cup may be the only thing to save Mancini," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
Across the city, it is looking more and more likely that Cristiano Ronaldo could be making a return to Old Trafford and he is 8/1 to be at Manchester United on the first day of next season and 5/4 to play for the club again before his 33rd birthday.
