Crafty Magpies to steal a point
Newcastle United v Manchester United - 16:00 live on Sky Sports 1
St James's Park hasn't always been a happy hunting ground for the Red Devils as shown by their 3-0 defeat here last season and Newcastle have to be respected. In a clash of two of the best strike partnerships in the Premier League this could be a classic, especially when you take into account the defensive problems that they both currently have.
Newcastle (16/5) have looked solid in their three home fixtures recording wins against Spurs and Norwich as well as a draw with Villa. They won convincingly in Europe and were able to rest a few players ready for this clash, Davide Santon, Jonas Gutierrez, Hatem Ben Arfa and Dembe Ba all look set to return to the starting line up. They have been making big strides under the stewardship of Pardew and getting a result from this is entirely possible.
The Magpies are unbeaten in 3 games against the Red Devils and a big part of that is Demba Ba (7/1 First/Last, 2/1 Anytime) as the front man has scored in both his Premier League appearances for Newcastle against Man Utd and is a good shout as an anytime scorer. He has the perfect foil upfront with him in Papiss Cisse (7/1 First/Last, 2/1 Anytime) and between them they should be able to cause the injury troubled United defence all sorts of problems.
The Red Devils (10/11, Draw 12/5) can welcome back Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling in an attempt to shore up a leaky defence that has conceded more goals through six games that they have any other time (except 01/02) in the Premier League through the same number. Sir Alex will be eager for his defence to stop shipping goals as they can ill afford too many more slip ups even at this early stage, however they may be relying on their potent attack to outscore Newcastle's.
Leading the attack will be Wayne Rooney (7/1 First/Last, 2/1 Anytime) and Robin van Persie (7/1 First/Last, 2/1 Anytime). Rooney has found the net against Newcastle more than any other club in the Premier League while van Persie is coming back from Romania having netted a Champions League double and now has seven in seven for Man Utd in all competitions. Like Newcastle's striking duo they will be licking their lips at the defensive crisis being suffered by the other.
It's worth noting Man Utd's slow start to games which will have Sir Alex fuming, they have fallen behind in 5 of their six Premier League games (Newcastle 11/8 for the first goal) and a direct result they have netted more points from losing positions that any other club (To come from behind and win or draw 9/2). The absolute bankers of the game would appear to be the over 2.5 goals at 8/13 (under 6/5) and both teams to score @ 4/7 (not to 13/10) while both appear short priced they are value when you factor in the attacking threats and defensive woes.
As always we have another set of fantastic enhanced odds wincasts available on this and every other Premier League game. Here we have Demba Ba scoring in a Newcastle win enhanced from 9/2 to a big 8/1 while Robin van Persie scoring in a Man Utd win is boosted from 17/10 to 5/2!

Demba Ba anytime @ 2/1
Worth a punt
2-2 Draw @ 14/1
