Deutsche to bank gutsy punter over £100000 Euro Bonus
A German national strolled into a William Hill shop in central London on Tuesday afternoon and placed £41,000 on his home country winning this year's Euros at 13/8.
It is believed that he was on a business trip in London and he said that this was his first ever wager- which if it cops will scoop the gutsy chap a staggering £107,625.
The price has been shortened from 13/8 to 6/4 and makes Germany the stand alone favourites ahead of Spain at 7/4 and Italy and Portugal both 11/2.
"It is believed that the German gent was on a business trip in London and to our knowledge, he has never placed a bet before in his life," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly. "Amazingly his is the biggest single wager that we have taken over the course of this year's Euros.'
