Will Ronaldo Outscore Messi In 2013?

Lionel Messi beat Gerd Mueller's 40 year goalscoring record and now all eyes turn to what will happen in 2013. There is only one player currently who could consider himself to be anywhere Messi's level and that is Cristiano Ronaldo and William Hill are offering 2/1 that the Portugeuse player scores more goals next calendar year than his Argentinean rival (4/11 he does not).

The record Messi has broken in 2012 is so sensational it could stand for a long time yet and it is 4/11 that both he and Cristiano Ronaldo fail to better it during their careers (2/1 that at least one of them does).

Messi has broken the record with games to spare and William Hill are now offering odds on how many he scores by the end of the year. He is 4/1 to score at least another six goals and 9/4 to score four or five more goals before the start of 2013.

Messi goals before the end of 2012: 2/1 0-1; 2/1 2-3; 9/4 4-5; 4/1 6+
*Messi must start vs Cordoba

Will either Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi break the record: 4/11 no; 2/1 yes
*record will be whatever it finishes at the end of 2012

Who will score more goals in 2013: 4/11 Messi; 2/1 Ronaldo
*competitive games only including internationals
