Have European Loses Piled Pressure On Wenger & Mancini?

Have European Loses Piled Pressure On Wenger & Mancini?

Following two defeats on the bounce, William Hill have cut the price of Arsene Wenger being the next Premiership manager to go from 66/1 to 50/1. But it isn't only Wenger reeling from European disappointment, Manchester City are 5/1 to qualify from Group D and Roberto Mancini himself is now 10/1 to be the next manger out the door from 33/1. The one piece of good news for both managers is that William Hill think both managers will still be in charge on Boxing Day and it is 1/100 that they are.

"Arsenal fans are used to a lack of silverware and you can see them sticking with Arsene Wenger but it is perhaps a different story for owners of Manchester City who have strong European Ambitions. We believe an early exit from Europe will almost certainly put Mancini in a vulnerable position," said William Hill spokesman Mark Young.

With European qualification in the balance and only Man Utd winning this week from the five British sides, William hill offer 28/1 that only one British team makes it to the knockout phase, 10/3 for two, 5/6 for three, 5/2 for four and 20/1 for all five.
