Hoops can shoot their way to the title

The last day of the Scottish Premier League season promises to be full of drama as Old Firm rivals Celtic and Rangers fight it out once again for the title.

Celtic are currently two points behind Rangers going into the final day. The Hoops host third-placed Hearts as Rangers travel to play fourth-placed Dundee United.

Gordon Strachan's side are 9/4 shots to win their fourth consecutive SPL title while Rangers are a short 1/3 to win their first title since 2005.

Rangers could struggle to oblige at the 8/15 to come away from Tannadice Park with the three points they need to definitely be crowned champions. The better bet looks to be the draw at 16/5. A party-spoiling home win is priced at 5/1.

Dundee United need a draw to guarantee European football for next season and therefore they will be doing all they can to get the point and ruin Rangers' day. United will be boosted by the return of fit-again top scorer Francisco Sandaza. The Spaniard has been a hit at Tannadice since joining from Valencia last summer. He has 10 league goals to his name and can be backed at 11/4 to net his 11th against Walter Smith's side.

A draw for Rangers would hand Celtic a fantastic opportunity to land the title as they should beat Hearts at Celtic Park at odds of 1/4. You can get 5/1 about Hearts coming away from Glasgow with a point and 9/1 to surprisingly take all three.

A better bet than the 9/4 for Celtic to win the title would be a double on Rangers to draw and Celtic to win. The double pays 17/4 and as it is unlikely that Rangers will lose to Dundee United they could quite easily only pick up a point.

In this scenario Celtic would win the title on goal difference and make it seven league titles in nine years.

There have been plenty twists and turns in recent weeks making it one of the most exciting SPL title races ever. And on the final day there could be one last twist.
