Hoops have to keep momentum going as Title race hots up

Gordon Strachan's Celtic side can't afford any let up if they wish to retain their Scottish Premier League crown.

Celtic blasted seven goals past a beleaguered St Mirren side on Saturday as they reduced the goal difference margin that Rangers currently hold over them at the top of the SPL. Before that game though The Bhoys had only enjoyed victory once in six games, and their seven point lead at the top of the table has disappeared.

Rangers will be hoping that Jim Jefferies Kilmarnock side can do them a huge favour by getting something out of this Rugby Park clash. It's extremely unlikely - the home side haven't claimed all three points in eight games and are flirting dangerously with relegation.

Killie are a massive 13/2 to end their winless run with a home success against the Glasgow giants. These two sides haven't drawn at this stadium since 2002 but if you think that record could change then a price of 16/5 could really tempt you in. The most likely outcome of course is an away win but with measly looking odds of 4/9 more value will be found with some correct score betting. In each of the three meetings this season Celtic have emerged victorious and scored exactly three goals so 10/1 on a 3-1 hoops win could be a cracking little earner.

Goals have been really hard to come by for the Ayrshire side this SPL campaign with their leading scorer Jamie Hammil only having four to his name, but two of those have come in the last three games so 20/1 on him notching the first of the game and 7/1 to pounce at anytime are both outstanding prices.

Celtic certainly haven't struggled to score this season, they've smashed in an incredible 60 goals in their 27 league matches. Georgios Samaras has scored 12 of that tally, in 23 games, but he's without a goal in his last nine outings, can he end this barren spell with the first goal tonight? 7/2 says he does. Shunsuke Nakamura bagged himself three goals at the weekend and is 11/2 to strike first in this game, and he's priced at 40/1 to grab another hat-trick.
