Keane to gun down Arsenal
Robbie Keane makes his second Tottenham debut on Sunday in the North London derby against Arsenal at White Hart Lane.
Keane left the Lane in the summer to join his boyhood team Liverpool but Rafa Benitez never really took to the £20 million man.
So after just a little over six months away Keane has returned. Harry Redknapp has handed the Irishman the captaincy in the absence of the injured Ledley King.
Earlier this season Keane scored a cracker for Liverpool at the Emirates against Arsenal and he is 7/1 to score first on Sunday and 2/1 to score anytime.
The 2/1 looks very tempting indeed as he will no doubt want to re-prove his immediate worth to the Spurs faithful.
In the match betting Tottenham are priced at 2/1 with their North London rivals at 7/5 and the draw is available at 11/5.
The 2/1 about a home win looks the best bet of the three. Tottenham may have been incredibly inconsistent recently but nothing stirs the White Hart Lane crowd quite like a visit of Arsenal and they should be the all-important 12th man.
The match will be a tight affair as in Tottenham's 12 home games there have only been 20 goals.
Therefore scorelines of 1-0, 2-0 and 2-1 to Tottenham could all be considered at odds of 7/1, 12/1 and 11/1 respectively.
Roman Pavlyuchenko will likely partner Robbie Keane up front and the Russian is priced at 8/1 to open the scoring and 11/4 to score at any point during the 90 minutes.
David Bentley is missing through suspension so it will be up to Aaron Lennon and Luka Modric to provide the creativity for the forwards.
Arsenal's deadline-day signing Andrey Arshavin is likely to be involved but whether he starts is in doubt. If he does the ex-Zenit man is 8/1 to become an instant Arsenal hero by scoring the first goal of the match.
Although more likely scorers for the Gunners are Emmanuel Adebayor and Robin van Persie. Both are priced at 6/1 to grab the first of the match and 7/4 to notch one anytime.
This North London derby promises to be a fiery encounter with Arsenal desperate for the points to not fall any further behind Aston Villa in the race for the Champions League places. While Tottenham need them to pull clear of the dreaded drop zone.
