Espanyol v Malaga

  • Espanyol have only won one of their last five league meetings with Malaga (D1 L3).
  • On home soil, the Catalan side have lost just one of their last seven league meetings with Malaga, however (W5 D1).
  • The Blue-and-Whites have drawn four of their last seven league meetings with Andalusian sides in Cornella-El Prat (W1 L2).
  • Espanyol have alternated between winning and not winning in their last six home league games. For this run to continue, they must fail to beat Malaga here.
  • Malaga are without a win in 10 away league games (D3 L7), their worst run without an away win since January 2010 (12).
  • Javier Aguirre has only won two of his previous nine clashes with Bern Schuster as a La Liga manager, drawing one and losing six.
  • Espanyol have scored a league-high 83% of their goals in the second-half this term.

  • Real Madrid have won all but one of their 16 home league games in 2013, losing just once against Atletico Madrid.
  • Sevilla are without a win in 21 away league games, their worst top-flight run since 1978 (26).
  • Unai Emery has taken charge of six league games at the Santiago Bernabeu and has not won any of them (D1 L5).
  • Only against Getafe (13) has Cristiano Ronaldo scored more goals than he has against Sevilla (12) in La Liga.

  • Levante's last away win in Andalusia came against Betis; 1-0 in October 2011 with former Betis man Juanlu getting the goal.

  • Elche are the only current La Liga team to have never won an away game against Athletic Bilbao.
