League 1 Opta Facts - 18-20 Dec

Southend v Bury

Southend have lost one of their last 16 league games against Bury at Roots Hall (W7 D8).

Bury have scored just five goals in their last 10 league meetings with the Shrimpers and never more than once in a game in that run.

Southend haven't conceded more than twice in a league game at Roots Hall since February 2014 (2-3 vs Exeter).

Bury have lost their last four away league games on the bounce; defeat at Southend would be their worst away losing run in the league since April 2010.

Shakers striker Leon Clarke has scored two goals in three games Southend, both coming for Wolves in November 2006.

Barnsley v Wigan

Barnsley have never beaten Wigan in league competition (D2 L4).

Wigan have won the last three league games against Barnsley without conceding a goal.

The Tykes are without a clean sheet in 12 games, conceding an average of two goals per game (24 conceded).

The Latics have kept nine clean sheets in League One this season, second only to league leaders Burton, though only two of those nine have been away from home.

Adam Hammill has netted in each of his last two games (all comps) for Barnsley, including one against Wigan in the FL Trophy.

Blackpool v Peterborough

There has been just one stalemate between the sides in the last 12 clashes, a 0-0 draw in August 2004, Blackpool winning six and Posh five.

Posh have conceded an average of 2.2 goals a game in their last 12 visits to Bloomfield Road since March 1985 (26 goals conceded).

Blackpool have won as many league games in their last 16 games (six) as they managed in their previous 61.

Peterborough have netted 47 league goals so far this season, their most at this stage of a campaign since 1962/63 when they scored 51.

Posh striker Conor Washington has hit eight goals in his last seven games in all competitions.

Burton v Doncaster

Burton have met Doncaster four times, twice in the Conference and twice in the FL Trophy, losing three and drawing the other before eventually losing on penalties.

The two sides met in the FL Trophy this season, with Donny winning 5-3 on penalties after a goalless draw.

Burton's only goalscorer in four games against Donny was Jason Kavanagh in a 2-1 defeat in December 2002.

Doncaster have kept three consecutive clean sheets against Burton (W2 D1).

Re-appointed Burton boss Nigel Clough played in the first two meetings between Burton and Doncaster in the Conference in 2002/03.

Rovers full-back Mitchell Lund made his debut for Doncaster in last season's 3-0 win in the FL Trophy.

Chesterfield v Bradford

The Spireites haven't beaten Bradford at home since April 2007 when they played at the Recreation Ground, winning 3-0 with the help of a brace from Jamie Ward.

The Bantams' only win in their last seven against Chesterfield came at the Proact Stadium last season courtesy of a Billy Clarke goal in a 1-0 win.

Chesterfield have lost three consecutive home league games - defeat to Bradford would signal their worst home losing run since April 2006 when they lost five on the bounce.

The Bantams have kept five clean sheets in their last six games, though the game in which they conceded was last time out in a 2-1 defeat to Walsall.

Chesterfield have conceded 12 goals in the final 15 minutes of games this season, more than any other League One side.

Coventry v Oldham

Coventry's only defeat in their last 11 against Oldham came in a 4-1 defeat at Boundary Park last season (W4 D6).

Oldham have never won at Coventry in their entire history and never kept a clean sheet in 11 visits (all comps), drawing four and losing seven.

Coventry are unbeaten in 10 league games at the Ricoh Arena (W7 D3), their longest unbeaten home

league run since March 2006 (12 games).

Danny Philliskirk scored in both games against Coventry last season for Oldham.

Sky Blues marksman Adam Armstrong has scored 13 goals for the West Midlands outfit and is the top scorer in League One.

Crewe v Fleetwood

Crewe won their only other home game with Fleetwood last season, a 2-0 win with goals from Nicky Ajose and Marcus Haber.

This is only the fourth meeting between Crewe and Fleetwood, with Crewe winning one and Fleetwood two.

Crewe have won two of their last three league games (L1) at Gresty Road having won none of the previous 12 (D5 L7).

Fleetwood have seen eight different nationalities score for them this season, more than any League One side.

Crewe goalkeeper Ben Garratt has made 92 saves this season, 12 more than any other goalkeeper in League One.

Millwall v Gillingham

Millwall have won four of the last five (all comps) against Gillingham at the Den, most recently a 4-0 win in April 2010, with current manager Neil Harris netting the fourth goal that day.

The Gills are without a clean sheet in each of their last 12 visits to the Den in all competitions, conceding 24 goals (two per game).

Millwall are unbeaten in six league games at the Den (W5 D1) - avoiding defeat against Gillingham would give them their longest unbeaten home run since December 2013 (seven games).

Gills midfielder Bradley Dack has been involved in 13 goals (eight goals, five assists) this season, a joint-high in League One with Coventry's Adam Armstrong.

The Gills have netted a league-high 11 goals in the final 15 minutes of games this season.

Rochdale v Colchester

Rochdale have lost only one of their last 11 against Colchester at Spotland, though seven have been stalemates (W3).

The U's haven't beaten Dale since April 2011, when a goal by Ian Henderson - now of Rochdale - secured the points for Colchester.

Henderson netted in both games against Colchester last season, helping Dale to 2-1 and 4-1 victories.

Colchester have lost nine of their last 11 league games and conceded 35 goals in that time.

The U's 52 goals conceded is the worst at this stage of the season by a third tier side since Mansfield in 2002/03 (53 goals).

Scunthorpe v Sheffield United

Scunthorpe haven't lost a home league encounter against the Blades since March 1959 (W4 D6).

The last three league meetings between the sides at Glanford Park have ended 1-1.

Both sides have found the net in every league meeting at Glanford Park, a total of 11 games.

Scunthorpe have lost their previous two home league games and defeat to Sheffield United would be their worst home run since Boxing Day 2011 when they lost three on the bounce.

The Blades, without a win on the road in seven (D5 L2) are on their worst away league run since November 2013, an 11 game winless run.

Billy Sharp has scored four goals in his last three games against former club Scunthorpe.

Shrewsbury v Swindon

There hasn't been a draw between the sides (all comps) in the last 15 games, with four wins for Shrewsbury and 11 for Swindon since February 1988.

The Robins have won four of their last five against the Shrews, though they lost the most recent away meeting in August 2013.

Shrewsbury have conceded six goals from penalties this season, more than any other League One side.

Swindon have won four of their last five league games, although their one defeat in this sequence was a 5-1 hammering away at Fleetwood.

The Shrews last goalless draw in the league was in January 2015, while Swindon haven't had one since February 2015.

Walsall v Port Vale

Walsall are without a win over the Valiants in nine league games (D4 L5), last winning on the opening day of the 2004/05 season at the Bescot Stadium.

There have been 25 goals scored in the last six games involving the Saddlers, an average of just over four per game.

Chris Birchall has scored with both of his shots on target for Port Vale this season.

Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw has scored in three of his last four league games and has nine for the season overall, with only Paddy Madden (10) and Adam Armstrong (13) scoring more in League One this season.
