League One Opta Facts – February 15-18th

Tranmere v Shrewsbury

  • Tranmere are unbeaten in their last eight meetings with Shrewsbury (in all competitions), winning five and drawing three.
  • In the league, Rovers are unbeaten in their last four games against the Shrews, winning two and drawing two, although three of those clashes came all the way back in 1990 and 1991.
  • Rovers have won just one of their last four games (losing the other three) after winning each of the four games which came before that.
  • The Shrews have failed to score in four of their last eight games, managing a total of just five goals in the process.

Bury v Coventry

  • Historically, Bury have struggled against Coventry, winning just one of their last seven clashes (3-1 in the Carling Cup in 2011), although five of those meetings came before 1968.
  • In league meetings, the Sky Blues are unbeaten against the Shakers in the last six meetings, winning four and drawing two.
  • Since moving on loan from Peterborough, Nicky Ajose has bagged two goals in his four games (with those goals coming in the last three games).
  • Leon Clarke has netted three in his last three league games for the Sky Blues.

Hartlepool v Leyton Orient

  • Pompey are now without a win in 19 games - only Hartlepool (20) have endured a longer winless run in the division this season,
  • Transfer window purchase Rory Loy has netted two in his last three games for the Cumbrians.

Preston v Bournemouth

  • Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last three clashes with Preston (all league), winning two and drawing one, with North End managing a total of just two goals in those games.
  • At Deepdale, Preston have enjoyed just one win against the Cherries in the last eight league encounters, losing four and drawing three.
  • North End have lost each of their last three games, the longest current losing streak in the division.
  • The Cherries have netted 12 in their last five games, with Brett Pitman bagging five in that period (three from the penalty spot).

Sheffield United v Colchester

  • Four of the last five meetings between these two sides have ended in draws, with United winning the other game (3-0 in September 2011).
  • At Bramall Lane, the Blades have suffered just one defeat in their last eight games against the U's (in all competitions), winning five, drawing two and scoring a total of 17 goals in the process.

Walsall v Notts County

  • Walsall have registered just one win in their last five meetings with Notts County, winning one, drawing one and losing three, although that victory did come last time out - 1-0 away at Notts County in August.
  • Defender Andy Butley has netted for the Saddlers in two of their last three clashes with the Magpies.
  • In their last five league encounters with County, Wallsall have netted a total of just three goals, and never more than one in a game.
  • County have won just two of their last 11 games, drawing four and losing five.

Yeovil v Scunthorpe

  • Yeovil have enjoyed just one win in their last eight league encounters with Scunthorpe, losing six and drawing one, although that victory did come last time out - 4-0 at away in August.
  • The last four meetings between the two sides have produced a total of 14 goals, an average of 3.5 per game.
  • The Glovers are enjoying a run of seven wins in a row, the longest winning streak this season in League One.
  • Only Oldham (10) are currently on a longer run without a clean sheet than The Iron this season (6).
