League Two Opta Facts February 20-21

Accrington v Cheltenham

  • Accrington Stanley have kept only one clean sheet in their last 10 league games versus the Robins.
  • Cheltenham are unbeaten in four games away to Accrington Stanley, winning three (D1).
  • Terry Gornell has scored in back-to-back league games having gone 13 without a strike.
  • The Robins have won just one of their last 17 league games (D5 L11).
  • Stanley have conceded 15 goals in the 15 minutes leading up to half time, a joint-league high.


Exeter v Plymouth

  • Exeter have scored in 15 of their last 16 home games against Plymouth in league competition.
  • Plymouth have lost two of their last three trips to Exeter in the league, drawing the other.
  • Exeter have claimed 20 points when trailing this campaign, a joint-league high with Shrewsbury.
  • After going seven without a win (D3 L4), Plymouth have won their last three league games without conceding.
  • Lewis Alessandra has scored in each of his last three league games for Plymouth.


AFC Wimbledon v Luton

  • Wimbledon won the first ever meeting in the Football League between the two teams in the reverse fixture back in August (1-0).
  • Luton have failed to score in their last three games against Wimbledon in all competitions (incl. play-offs).
  • The Dons have dropped more points from leading situations this season in League Two (20). 16 of these have come at home.
  • Luton top scorer Mark Cullen has scored three goals in his last three league games, having gone 11 without a goal.
  • These two sides lead the way for first-half goals this season - Wimbledon have netted 25, Luton 23.


Bury v Hartlepool

  • Bury have won four of their last five league encounters with Pools (L1), including the last three.
  • Hartlepool have failed to find the back of the net in their last three clashes with the Shakers; they've never gone four without reply.
  • The Shakers have lost just one of their last seven league games (W3 D3).
  • Neil Austin is the only outfield player to play every minute for Hartlepool this season in League Two.
  • 71% of Hartlepool's goals this season have come after half time (17/24).


Cambridge v Portsmouth

  • Cambridge have won only one of their last five games on home soil, failing to score in three (D2 L2).
  • Portsmouth have won six and lost none of their last seven matches with Cambridge United in league competition.
  • Goalkeeper Chris Dunn and defender Josh Coulson have played every minute for Cambridge this season in League Two (2700).

  • Wes Fletcher's two goals against Tranmere last weekend were his first in the league since September, where he also scored a brace against Stevenage.
  • The Cobblers are the only League Two side to score in each home match this season.


Oxford v Mansfield

  • Oxford have won five of their last seven against Mansfield in all competitions (L2).
  • Mansfield have lost four of their last five matches at Oxford United in all competitions (W1), including the last three.
  • Oxford are winless in five at home, but have drawn their last two (L3).
  • The Stags have lost their last four league games away from home, conceding twice in each match.
  • Mansfield have lost 14 of the 15 games in which they've been behind in League Two this season.


Stevenage v Southend

  • Stevenage have scored only one goal across their previous three league games against Southend.
  • Southend have yet to lose against Stevenage in the league, winning two (D1).
  • Ben Kennedy scored a brace for Stevenage last weekend, in what was just his second league start.
  • Southend's defeat last weekend ended a run of 10 unbeaten in the division (W5 D5).
  • Stevenage have scored the most goals in the opening 15 minutes of League Two games this season (9), but have conceded the most in the 15 minutes after this period (9).


Tranmere v Shrewsbury

  • Tranmere have scored in 17 of their last 18 league encounters with Shrewsbury.
  • Shrewsbury have won only one of their last nine away to Tranmere in league competition (D2 L6).
  • Rory Donnelly has netted four times in his last six games for Tranmere.
  • Shrewsbury are unbeaten in seven league games, second only to Burton in the division (12).
  • However, all six of Shrewsbury's league defeats this season have come in away games.
