Lions prey on Leeds

Millwall comprehensively defeated second favourites Leeds 3-1 which saw United drift from 2/1 to 11/4. Meanwhile the Lions were cut from 20/1 to 16/1.

The victory saw Millwall leapfrog Leeds into third place in the table. Following their victory at Cheltenham, Scunthorpe remain top after extending their unbeaten run to nine matches and in the betting were cut from 10/1 to 11/2.

Title favourites Leicester (15/8) picked up a good point away at fellow promotion challengers Oldham (10/1).

Southend (16/1) maintained their good recent form and moved up into sixth after beating out of form Swindon 2-1 at Roots Hall.

MK Dons (20/1) could only manage a draw away at struggling Crewe and Peterborough (14/1) came back from 3-1 down to rescue a point away at Carlisle (40/1) who themselves managed to halt a run of five successive defeats following a promising start.

A £10 treble on Millwall, Scunthorpe and Southend would have paid returns of £104.28.
