Man City to struggle at the DW?
Betting Preview - Nov 28th
Under the stewardship of Roberto Martinez, Wigan have an excellent team spirit and continue to play attractive, free flowing football and their 3-2 win over Reading has taken them four points clear of the relegation zone. Win, lose or draw (apart from a three goal defeat at Anfield), the Latics have been extremely competitive in every game and will feel that they could be sitting a few points and places higher in the Premier League if the luck had gone their way.
While they've not been hitting the back of the net with alacrity, last week's hat-trick hero Jordi Ramos ( To Score and Wigan to win enhanced to 20/1, 14/1 first scorer and 11/2 any time scorer), Franco di Santo (8/1 first scorer, 11/4 any time) and Arouna Kone ( also 8/1 first scorer, 11/4 any time) have kept the goals for column ticking away and with home advantage, expect Wigan to prove more formidable than their odds might suggest (Wigan 5/1 to win).
Man City have crashed out of the Champions League and lost top spot in the Premier League to the red half of Manchester. And although the axe has not been sharpened, any further blemishes on Roberto Mancini's record will see the pressure mounting to boiling point. Every week, another story is printed of disharmony and discontent at the Etihad stadium and only if this group of World class players fight together and not against each other will the club fulfil it's over flowing potential.
This about a club that is one point behind the leaders and won eight and drawn five of these Premier League matches, with 25 goals scored and a paltry ten conceded.
Carlos Tevez, Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero have scored seventeen goals between them and are 7/2, 5/1 and 7/2 respectively to score the first goal of the match. Aguero is Mancini's preferred striker and we have enhanced the odds on him to score and Man City to win to 2/1.
Man City are strong favourites at 8/15 to win, while the draw is 3/1.
Both teams have reason enough to need all three points and we could have an exciting and attacking match in store on Wednesday night and may be a goal feast? Both teams to score is 7/10 and over 3.5 goals 13/8.
Worth a punt:
Double Result - Draw/Wigan @ 10/1
